The ETH Foundation offers a fully funded ETH-D excellence scholarship and opportunity programme to support students. The Eth-D excellence scholarship and opportunity programme support students with scholarship, mentorship and a network of the ETH Foundation.

This scholarship is for a master’s degree and covers the full study and living costs during the course of the Master’s degree.

The ETH-D excellence scholarship and opportunity programme grant the beneficiaries CHF 12,000 per semester which covers living and study expenses which is different from a tuition fee waiver.

APPLY ALSO FOR MAASTRICHT UNIVERSITY (UM) HOLLAND–HIGH POTENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The ETH-​D Scholarship consists of a partial stipend for living and study expenses (CHF 7’500 per semester) as well as a tuition fee waiver. The department will additionally provide a scholarship of CHF 3’000 per semester or offer an assistantship (with a payment of CHF 500 – 600 per month). In Zurich, it covers the demanded CHF 21’000/year for the migration office (in Basel at D-​BSSE it covers CHF 24’000). Details see here (PDF, 79 KB).

Both scholarships start with the Master’s degree programme and are awarded for the regular duration of the Master’s programme (three or four semesters). This also applies to the tuition fee waiver.

ELIGIBILITY

To apply for the ETH-D excellence scholarship and opportunity programme, the candidate must:

• Have a very good result in the Bachelor’s degree programme (top 10% of the Bachelor’s degree programme = grade A)

• Please make sure to be reachable under the telephone number specified in your CV as the selection process might include a phone/VC interview in February

NB: If you are already enrolled in a Master’s degree programme at ETH Zurich or hold a Master degree, you are not eligible for these scholarships.

APPLICATION DEADLINE:

For ESOP/ETH-​D Scholarship, you must apply within the first application window from 15 Nov – 15 Dec 2020.

Start Masterstudies in the fall semester of 2021.

ETH Bachelor students may also start in the spring semester of 2021.
